826 MOBILE, ALABAMA

826 National is a nonprofit started in 2001 by Dave Eggers. It is a family of seven nonprofit organizations dedicated to helping students, ages 6-18, with expository and creative writing. For this project, I was assigned the southern city of Mobile, Alabama, known for the origin of Mardi Gras, humidity, and deep-rooted segregation.

The idea behind my take on the 826 brand for this city is illustrated in the store This and That. The store sells bits and pieces of products, that are meant to be put together to work effectively. Playing with language and a unique, wide variety of products, the idea that people and objects work better when they work together.
